Commenting on The UAE Course Guide by Laimoon, Ihsan Jawad Co-Founder of Laimoon.com said: “Multiple indicators show that the UAE is fast emerging as the leading education hub for the entire MENASA region, with a recent survey by **Deloitte placing the UAE as the 4th most popular destination for education amongst the emerging markets. The transparency and connectivity that The UAE Course Guide initiative delivers, will serve to increase accessibility to, and build momentum of the UAE’s education sector. Central to the success of the educational environment here in the UAE, is having the correct infrastructure in place to support its growth. We see the course guide, as part of the infrastructure needed to support the emirates’ emergence as a global educational hub in its own right.”
With more than 30 institutions currently listed with The UAE Course Guide, one of the first Universities to show their support was American University of Sharjah (AUS). Dr. Nada Mourtada Sabbah, Vice Chancellor for Development and Alumni Affairs and Mr. Salem Al Qaseer, Vice Chancellor for Public Affairs commented on the launch: “We are pleased that through Laimoon.com, we will be able to offer our alumni and graduating seniors more job opportunities, and assist them in selecting the most relevant continuing education training programs. This new portal will help our alumni and students link their classroom learning with their future career paths and discover which of their many skills are most in demand in the job market.” Commented Dr. Nada Mourtada, Vice Chancellor for Development and Alumni Affairs.
“As a leading hub of academic excellence in the region, AUS recognizes the necessity of offering academic programs that support both the needs of the community and the growth of industry. Laimoon.com’s initiative supports these goals by providing a one-stop-platform from which prospective students from around the world will be able to connect with the University.” Commented Mr. Salem Al Qaseer, Vice Chancellor for Public Affairs.
Bobbi Hartshorne Head of Education Partnerships at Laimoon.com, added: “In today’s increasingly competitive job environment, people are fast realising that they need to up-skill and re-skill in order to stay ahead of the curve. However, choosing the right course or institution can be a daunting and time consuming process.”
“Unlike other directory services, The UAE Couse Guide offers course searchers unique insight into current course offerings, a valuable understanding of the qualification for career-development purposes and the option to be directed to the institution directly through our easy-to-use website. The response we have seen so far from both course providers and students alike has been overwhelmingly positive. We already have more than 150 courses and over 30 universities and course providers listed on the platform.” concludes Hartshorne.
